Easter Egg Hunt # 2

The day before Easter Sunday we went to our church, St. Michael's of Farmington for our second Easter Egg hunt of the season.  We've attended this one in the past, so we knew Mallory would be just fine, plus there was no horn blown to start the hunt.  HA!  We were fortunate enough to be joined by my friend Jessie, her husband Eric and their son Evan.  Mallory was super excited to have someone to hunt eggs with.  Because it was raining lightly, they kept the little ones inside the church (inside the hallways and the nursery) and the older kids got to search outside in the open field to the east of the church.  Here are Evan and Mallory, ready to go....

The beginning of the hunt was like the running of the bulls, but once the kids, parents and staff got through the narrow hallways and into the nursery area, it opened up and the kids were able to get many eggs.  I know Mallory had thirty eggs in her basket when she was done, which equates to thirty pieces of candy.  I am guessing Evan had around the same amount.  They were both very proud of their collection of eggs.

Not only was there an Easter Egg hunt, there was an Easter Party as well.  This is the norm for St. Michael's, but even so, it never ceases to amaze me how much fun Mallory has at these parties.  There is a huge variety of crafts to be made, cookies to decorate and eat, along with a games to play.  We always have a very nice time which makes it easy to keep it in the plans year after year.  Mallory ate a few pieces of candy, made some crafts, played a few games and got to see the Easter Bunny AGAIN

We just love St. Michael's and how much they love the kids from the parish.  They always put them first and are continually improving their childrens events.  A big thanks to the staff and many volunteers for another great Easter Egg hunt and party!
