Mallory's Birthday Week

Mallory's actual birthday landed on a Tuesday this year, making it pretty hard to celebrate ON her birthday, so we planned her parties for the weekend after, basically giving her an entire Birthday Week!

We kicked off the birthday week with breakfast at Perkins.  Mallory enjoyed a Perky Bear Pancake and to our surprise, a BIG birthday cupcake complete with a Happy Birthday song from the staff!

Next was presents from mom and dad (us).  Mallory has been asking for a Dreamlite for quite a while and well, we didn't disappoint.  She also got her very own girly umbrella from us.  It makes us so happy to see her so happy!

On Saturday, we held a family birthday party for Mallory.  Not only did she get to celebrate with her family, her good friends Jules and Evan came by to celebrate as they were not able to make it to her friends birthday party the next day.  Mallory had a FULL day of friends, family, presents and cake!

Thanks Jules!

From Grandpa and Grandma Hauer, Mallory got a much needed Ariel bath toy.  She was just a little excited about it since we've taken three baths in 48 hours.  Grandma Dee did a good job too.  She included a pair of crocodile Stompeez, which has also been on Mallory's list for quite some time.  Grandma Dee also gave several smaller items of excitement like Lalaloopsy Dolls, bubbles and some Squinkies!  Mallory is so lucky!  We are very appreciative for all of the presents she received!

On Sunday, we rented a bounce house for Mallory's friends party.  We were able to have the bounce house all weekend since the rental facility is not open on Sundays.  It was worth every penny.  The bounce house was in the shape of a castle, purple and pink in color, which went along perfectly with Mallory's princess themed party!

The kids had endless amounts of fun bouncing around in that thing.  Mallory bounced in that castle from 10:00AM till about 6:00PM.  She took the necessary breaks, but was seriously in there for about eight hours.  It sure made our decision to rent it all that more sensible.  Not only did the kids have fun, some of the parents joined in the bouncing bonanza too!

In between the bouncing, the kids did stop to watch/help Mallory open her presents and have some cupcakes and ice cream!  Mallory received an array of girl related presents including more Lalaloopsy dolls, a Lalaloopsy dress that she can wear and a Barbie!

Mallory seemed to have a great time which in turn makes us happy.  Hosting a kids birthday party can be a lot of work, but it's so worth it to see her having a good time with her friends.  Laughing, smiling and even with a few tears, having so much fun while make some great memories.

Even though Christopher and I both were struck hard by this birthday (four already????), we are looking forward to getting out of the toddler phase and watching our baby become a little girl.  Happy Birthday Mallory!  We LOVE you VERY VERY much!
