Akin Road All Star

Mallory was named the Akin Road All Star Student for Kindergarten for the month of May.  May's theme was courage.  I'm guessing the broken arm had something to do with her being selected.  Either way we are pretty darn proud of Mallory.  They only honor All Star Students once a month so there are not many handed out.  What made this honor even more special for Mallory was our next door neighbor Teagen was also selected to be an All Star Student during the month of May!

To honor the All Star students, they had a breakfast program where guests could come and listen to the teachers and principal talk about the All Star Student program and why the particular student was chosen.

She was very excited to be chosen and be a part of the program.  I think it sure helped her to forget about that bulky cast on her arm.  Mallory received a certificate and a dog tag to remember the honor.

It doesn't appear I can post the actual video on here due to privacy rights, but if you click on this link...

you should be able to watch a video of the award presentation.  We are so glad/happy/proud Mallory is enjoying her school as much as they appear to be enjoying her!
