Farmington Dew Days

Our adventure started out watching Uncle Dustin and his band The Liars play at The Taste of Farmington on Thursday night. Grandma and Grandpa Hauer were also in attendance. Mallory just loved the watch all the other little girls and boys dancing to the music, and even her and mommy danced together a little bit. We got to sample all kinds of different foods, and Mallory got to share an ice cream cone with Grandpa.

On Saturday, while I was hosting Jessie’s baby shower, Mallory and her dad went back to Dew Days to attend the BBQ Rib cook off. They had a fun time just walking around, taking in all the sites, and smelling the good food. They were not able to sample any, as the ribs were not done yet when they left. That’s okay, they came home and Mallory got to play with her friends, Jules and Christopher.
Sunday was Grand Parade Day. We could not have asked for a better day to sit and watch a parade. This was Mallory’s first parade, and she seemed to really enjoy it. She did more watching and observing than anything else, but she really liked the band on a trailer with the banjo, and the Lonsdale Community Days Ambassadors. She even waved as their float went by!!!! We were worried about her reaction the fire trucks with the sirens blaring, but she did just fine, until the last one went by, then a few tears. Nothing a little iceee couldn’t take care of. Mallory and her daddy got to share their matching tie dyes, and we had a really good time together as a family.

We wish happiness, fun and safety for all of your traveling this holiday weekend! Happy Independence Day America !!!
