We got a new car! New to us, but it really is used. A 2006 Chrysler 300! It is Christopher’s primary car, but so good for Mallory. She has so much room in the back seat, it’s unbelievable! In my truck, her seat is flush up against the back of the front passenger seat, and her legs have to be bent. In the Grand Am, she was flush up against both of the front seats, but not in the 300, just look at all the room she has!!!! This car floats, it is such a smooth ride, no wonder she is always sleeping when we are in it!

Mallory has herself a new stand up toy as well. It’s a jungle safari play table, with all sorts of buttons to push, handles to pull and a keyboard croc. She really enjoys the Dizzy Duals and loves to put them in and take them out of the jungle trap. When she wants, it works as a walker too. She will push it all over the living room, also while she is pushing buttons and pulling levers. Ahhh, my multitasking daughter!

Before it got so warm outside, we were able to spend several afternoons and evenings outside with the neighbors. They have a 3 year old little boy, and 14 month old little girl. Mallory was very excited to have playmates, although she got a little jealous when they were playing with her exersaucer. Funny, since she has been very bored with it for weeks. Hmm…..

Mallory loves to listen to music. She will “dance” as long as her little legs can hold up. Here is little video of her dancing to her stand up play table. The banjo really gets her going. This is just a snip it of what she can really do. She has also started to move and grove while sitting on her butt. In this video she shows off her new trick of holding onto things with only one hand while standing, and turning her back to the couch while standing hands free. She’s getting ready to walk, and is getting braver every day.
On Christopher’s first Father’s Day, we went to Back to the 50’s car show at the state fair grounds. Little did we know our new car was actually a remake. We never knew Chrysler made a 300 before. We found a few, but here was a really nice, white one.
While we were there, some of the fair food stands were open, so Mallory tried a corn dog. I figured she would like it, and eat maybe half. Nope, she ate the whole thing, and probably would have ate more if we had more. Christopher was such a proud Dad, “driving” Mallory’s stroller..
That night Mallory and I met my parents, Uncle Dustin and his wife Katy, and Katy’s mom Harriet and brother Clark for supper. It was great to see Grandpa Hauer (my dad) so proud for his first Father’s Day as a Grandpa. He held onto Mallory so tight, no one else even had a chance. I don’t think she minded….
