Pan - O - Prog

Taking a break from our regular weekend adventures to the cabin, we decided to hit up Lakeville’s City celebration known as Pan – O – Prog. After nap time, we headed over to Lakeville, found a sweet spot to park, in the shade at city hall, and helped reserve our spots for the parade in front of the fire station. My good friend Sarah and her husband Todd (both high school friends of mine) live in Lakeville, and were also going to be in attendance. We were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with them!
We headed downtown to see what was happening. We stopped for some fresh lemonade, a corn dog and we ended up running into another friend of ours, Crystal. Crystal works at Belle Ami salon in Lakeville and does both mine and Christopher’s hair! She happened to have her daughter Danika with her, so it was a fun pit stop for Mallory too!

After an hour or so of checking things out, we started back towards the fire station to be seated for the parade. When the police car came, Mallory was very excited as she could hear the marching bands were next. Here she is marching in anticipation of their arrival…

Candy, candy and more candy was gathered. Mallory thoroughly enjoyed her BLUE RASPBERRY dum dum sucker, can you tell? I can’t believe she even went to sleep after all the sugar she had. So fun watching her playing with the other kids, participating in all the events, and MARCHING!

To our surprise, Christopher’s friend and co-worker Adam was in the parade representing the Farmington Fire Department. After the parade, we got a personalized tour of Rescue 1. Mallory had a BLAST checking out the “FIRE TRUCK”. On a side note here, Mallory LOVES fire trucks. She thinks any truck with a blinking light on it is a fire truck. Tow trucks, maintenance vehicles, a car with its signal on, all fire trucks in her eyes. Anyway, she was checking everything out, when she found a flag on the seat in the back. What a great symbol of freedom, a little girl, holding an American flag, in a fire truck. Even Mommy and Daddy got to have a little fun!

It was such a great day, the weather was wonderful, we spent some time with old friends, and were treated special by our very own Farmington Fire Captain, Adam. We are so lucky and very blessed to have such wonderful opportunities surrounding us.
