Christopher served in the U.S. Army from 1989 to 1997. Since today was Veterans Day and he was off from work, Mallory and Christopher came to Prior Lake and we had a lunch date. The best part was his meal was free. Thanks to Applebees for giving Veterans a free meal today!
It was great seeing all the proud Veterans out and about today, displaying their pride in this country either through a bumper sticker, license plate, hat, jacket or sweatshirt. We even saw one gentleman putting his name on the list for a table at Applebees with what appeared to be his original U.S Navy enlistment records. The folder was older than me, but this gentleman held it tight, and held it high, he was proud. I am proud too, of my wonderful husband, for his years of dedication and service to his country. Mallory is proud of her daddy too. I even got her to say "Happy Betrans Day". Close enough!
