Certificate of Superior Achievement

Finally getting to write about Miss Mallory and her cheerleading.  I did write a post a few months ago  that she was begging us to be a cheerleader but I was reluctant to sign her up yet as it had the potential to be quite expensive.  While browsing the Farmington Community Ed catalog, I found Cheer America.  Once a week, age group for Mallory, reasonably priced and fit into our schedule.  I was quite pleased.

After three months of practice, they performed at the cheer festival.  Unfortunately we had to miss the cheer festival because it was held on the same day AND time as the Just For Kix Winter Show.  Boooooo.  It really worked out okay because there were three other girls in the cheer group that were in the same position, so Mallory was not the only cheerleader to miss the festival.  This made is MUCH easier to explain to Mallory.

On the last night of class they put on a small performance for friends and relatives.  Mallory had a nice turnout for her fan club.  Grandma Dee, Kelly, Mallory's Godmother, and her husband Drew, Christopher and I were all there to watch.  Grandma and Grandpa Hauer were all ready to attend and then winter hit.  It snowed that evening so they opted to stay home where it's safe.  The gym was full with loved ones eager to see they're own cheering super stars !

The group started off showing us their stretches and warm ups.

Once stretched out, the girls got their pom poms.  It was time to give us the show and boy was Mallory ready!

Here is a video performance of all their cheers and dance that they learned through the season.
When the performance was over, each girl received a Certificate of Superior Achievement and a medal.  Naturally Mallory was beaming to get hers!  We are so incredibly proud of her.  Once again she is the youngest and the smallest in her class (hooray for summer birthdays!) but never gives up.  NEVER!

She is such a good student all around.  Whether it is school, dance, swimming or a few weeks of cheer, she takes her classes seriously and certainly earns her achievements.  Such a wonderful little lady!
