This week Mallory has been on a few fall adventures, taking turns with mom and dad. Unfortunately, everyone at daycare is sick, so to err on the side of caution, we have been keeping her home, and Christopher and I have been taking turns being home with her. It’s been a fun, busy week so far. Here she is, showing us just how big of a girl she has gotten to be, she's already wearing size 10 shoes!

On Monday, Christopher took Mallory to the zoo again. This time they were able to visit the animal farm, and got to watch the staff milk a cow. It was such a beautiful afternoon and they really enjoyed what is probably going to be their last outdoor visit to the zoo for a while.

On Tuesday, we went to see Jessie and baby Evan. Mallory even said the word BABEEEE and pointed at Evan. We went for brunch to the Original Pancake House in Edina , and really enjoyed our time together as mommies. Mallory did great until I got to hold Evan, then she got a little jealous. Evan was a wonderful date, he’s just such a happy little boy, oh and he’s so cute too with chubby, chubby cheeks! It was cute to see Mallory interact with Evan, including the two of them sticking their tongues out at each other across the table. Jessie was attempting to take a picture of the three of us here, but Mallory was more interested in talking to the people in the booth behind us.

Last night Mallory and I went to the Mall of America to do a little shopping and expand some energy. Mommy found some great deals at Carter’s and Mallory walked around Nickelodeon Universe twice. She had so much “work” to get done, she was just a cruising around at mach speed. It was so much to fun to watch her taking it all in, stopping and pointing at things like trees and the rides. She got a little scared when the roller coaster went overhead, it made such a roar, she came running to mommy pretty quickly, but once it was gone, it was back to walking. It’s been such a wonderful three days, I just love the extra time with her!
Mallory is also saying quite a few things these days. Here is a list of her vocabulary:
Fish = Fish
Kitty = Kitty (everything with four legs and fur is a kitty)
Doug = Dog
Done = Done
Babeeee = Baby
Uh oh = Uh oh
Wha it's = What's this?
Cheese = Cheese (she also smiles big when she says this)
Ooose = Juice
Ock = Quack or Truck
Are = Car
Ice = Hi Guys
Da Da = Dad
When you ask her to say Ma Ma = Dad. ( I am not sure what that’s all about, but it’s almost a joke at this point, she giggles when she does that!)
That’s about it for now. This weekend will bring a trip to the cabin to store the Camaro for the winter, bring in the remainder of the dock and have some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Hauer. Oh, and on Sunday, the Vikings will attempt to remain undefeated! SKOL!
