We went to the cabin on Lake Jefferson, and had a fabulous time! The weather was GREAT, even after the rain that came through on Sunday night! We didn't care, we went for a walk and got to see a turtle laying her eggs after the rainfall. It was so cool, and Mallory got very close to the turtle, but was also very respectful. Amazing to watch her get so close!
The weekend started out with a day full of laying out on the deck in the sun, watching Mallory swim in her tiny pool. We bought this pool for her last year to play and splash in, but when she found it at the cabin upon our arrival, there was no turning back. She enjoyed swimming in it and playing with her new water/sand toys.
After dinner on Saturday night we took the pontoon out for a ride around the lake. Mallory stop was a little more into her life jacket this year as opposed to last year. Maybe this picture will refresh your memory.
None of that this year, she was ready to go!
After all the fun and craziness of the weekend, in and out of the lake and pool, it was time to clean up, relax and get ready for an ice cream cone. Grandma brought them just for Mallory. It's hard to believe in the first six months Mallory was alive, how she hated her baths. I had a co-worker tell me, just wait, there will be a time when you won't be able to get her out of the tub! Memorial Day weekend was one of those times! She had a blast in the bath!
After bath, it was time for that cone, specially made by Daddy. What a great weekend!
