Two Months

Two months since our sweet little baby was born. I can't imagine life without her at this point. Some people would say two months is a long time and others would argue, it's no time at all. It's definitely been a whirlwind of events in those two short or long months, but worth every minute of effort to care for Mallory.
Yesterday was her two month check up, and first set of vaccinations. Mallory did GREAT, it was not without a few screams and tears, but within a few minutes of the whole event being over with, she was settling down in daddy's arms and took her bottle. She was a little more fussy than normal yesterday, and was running a low grade fever last night before bed time, all of which I have been told (and read) is a normal side effect to the shots. Christopher said her legs seems to be bothering her a little yesterday, but over all she was her normal self. Including EIGHT hours of sleep last night!!!! Mallory is starting to reach out for some of her toys, grabs onto her bottle, and is really good at holding her head up. She is very vocal, and her little legs go non-stop. She has also discovered her thumb, and while it takes her a little bit to get it in her mouth, once it's in there, she smacks away. She also has NO trouble recognizing mommy and daddy. Here are here two month "stats"...

9 lbs 13 ounces = 27th percentile
23.5 inches long = 90th percentile
38.9 CM head = 57th percentile

Overall = 65th percentile (as the doctor said - Long and Lean - HA!)

Also yesterday, we went over to our friends, Marisa and John's for dinner. They have a 5 month old girl named Jules. It was the first time Jules and Mallory met each other, and they did pretty good. Not much more for either one to do but to stare at one another, but they did that for a while and were both smiling and reaching towards each other. We had a fun evening, and laughed about how our lives have changed so much for the better. Now we have little girls playing with each other, while we sit and chat. So different, but so GOOD different.
