The best sound EVER!

The other night we heard the best sound EVER! You can hear it for yourself in the video below.

Mallory watches Chico like a hawk, but the other night, she let loose with joy. It was so great, I was laughing and Christopher was laughing, and even Chico was excited. How wonderful of a sound!

I also have two other words for everyone out there...

HUGGIES OVERNIGHTS!

Mallory has been rolling over onto her tummy every night for a while now, and every morning we had to change a VERY wet diaper, a sleeper and a crib sheet. I did a little research, asked a few people, and so far we are very pleased with the solution. Huggies Overnights are amazing! Even with a VERY full diaper in the morning, Mallory is dry, and HAPPY! So is mommy, if you have every changed a crib sheet, you know why!

Mallory must have read my last post, she has been sleeping all the way thru the night again, and finishing her bottles with ease. I guess it was just a little phase, but it sure is nice to have things back to "normal", for now!

Today Christopher went to work on installing Mallory's stair gate. We knew it was going to take some work because of the layout. We have a split level with an open living room. There is a railing that follows the LR to the wall, and while we have most of it blocked with the big screen TV, Mallory could very easily fit between the posts and under the main rail, therefore Christopher had to do some pre layout work before we could purchase everything we needed.

We ended up getting a nice gate for the top of the stairs, but the railing was not sturdy enough to take the tension the gate would give it. Christopher modified the railing by screwing in a 2x4 to give it the necessary support. It worked great! Here is a before and after photo...

We also added a sheet of clear plexi to the rest of the exposed railing, so she cannot slip thru or under. It only took three hours, but the best part is now she is safe and can crawl to her hearts delight. Good thing too, she wasn't to fond of her makeshift gate I had created for her...

We have had another great week, and a lazy weekend, but have had so much fun! It's amazing how fast they grow and catch on to new things. Every day is a blessing, and part of the adventure!
